Whether you’re an old fan of My Time at Portia or simply a new player interested in the series, this game can accommodate all. Not only does it add new features compared to the previous game, but it also brings in numerous quality-of-life updates to improve its gameplay mechanics. A bigger world awaits youĪll in all, My Time at Sandrock is a great entry for the My Time series despite its bigger file size. Take note that this makes the game much beefier than the first one, though, and requires a minimum of 20 GB storage space. The biggest change, however, is the focus on the story-with hundreds of side-quests to complete and over 30 all-new characters to get to know. The combat returns here but now comes with new gameplay mechanics. You do this by exploring the open-world map and collecting resources. Your goal is still the same: run your workshop in order to improve life in the town and save it from ruin. You now get to play in the new city-state of Sandrock, a desert location that offers new opportunities for crafting. These core features are retained in My Time at Sandrock, as it was originally meant to be a DLC but was eventually expanded into a full-blown sequel. 1 Characters 1.1 Player 1.2 Marriage candidates 1.3 Townsfolk 1.3.1 Animals 1. Inspired by games like Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, My Time at Portia has you gathering resources, crafting, improving your home, and befriending NPCs. It’s set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has emerged from underground and has begun rebuilding society using the leftover technology they scavenge. Make it a toggle and be done with it.First released in 2019, My Time at Portia is a life sim game that combines aspects of role-playing and simulation gameplay mechanics. 4:19pm big update are there only 2 new places to explore in the last big update(4GB), Eufaula Outback and the breach (ship). If you're adamant that it stays in for some reason, it absolutely needs to be optional. Take a look at this feature one more time, devs. I don't really want my character looking more and more like a meth-head every day. The eye bags need to be optional.Īlso, after playing a bit longer, the eye bags make the characters look like drug addicts, especially at some angles and in certain lighting. It would be different if Sandrock were to be some hyper-realistic, real world type game, but neither Portia, nor Sandrock as you are billing it, are meant to be that type of game. The first wanted poster should be hung just inside the entrance to The Breach on the west side of town. But the fact that you can quick save anywhere, anytime and super fast too, kinda. I don't want it in the games I use to relax and de-stress. My Time At Sandrock is out in Early Access NOW The wait is over I was so excited for this I've been playing for the last 6 hours straight, and the only bug I've encountered so far was getting stuck sitting down on the chair outside the blue moon restaurant. My life and my job are stressful enough-I have bags and stress and all the visible signs of overworked/underpaid working-poor every single day of my life. I get some people really, really want a lot of realism in this type of game, but there are many of us who use this as an escape. That's more a penalty on the player, having to look at it, than a penalty on the character, like stamina drain is. Just pass out on the second night in a row at whatever hour being up.īut if nothing else, no eye bags. IRL most people don't pass out from pulling a single all nighter but certainly do have less energy from it. A choice might be an option though, you can pass out now and wake up at home with however much stamina, or choose to stay up and accept the penalties of lost stamina and faster draining stamina. I know some use pass out as an emergency way to get home when stuck rather than loose the whole day's progress, though that doesn't seem to be intended game design. There could easily be other penalties like no stamina regen if you don't sleep/sleep to late, maybe makes your stamina drain faster the next day as well. Your best bet will be Yakthorn and Yellow Lavender bushes when you first start. You can obtain Dew from logs and bushes around your workshop. When I'm out running around late, I'll sometimes see NPCs, so kinda sucks I as a player have to pass out when they get to stay up. The primary method of getting water in My Time at Sandrock is crafting it at your Worktable using Dew. I don't really like the passing out mechanic either but am used to it in games so accept it. I don't want to look at that on my character. My Time at Sandrock is a confirmed continuation of the My Time at Portia universe.
